I went twice a few years ago when Rage Against the Machine played and a year when Radiohead played. Not going this year, the line-up looks OK at best. I have to warn you if you are doing the whole hippie camp out thing be prepared for some near intolerable levels of sanitation. They are very few public showers and thousands of guest so you probably won't be showering for a few days. Honestly, if you got the dough grab a hotel in Palm Springs.

It honestly looks a lot better than the actual one.

stone roses, nick cave and the bad seeds and grinderman!, dinosaur jr, a bunch of decent hip hop, lee scratch perry, dam funk... plenty of good stuff there

but i hate festivals because of the anxiety of missing out on acts you want to see.

Took me a few minutes to realize that wasn't the actual poster.

BTW: I visited the Coachella site and man, it sure looks corporate for something that's allegedly an indie thing. But maybe I'm too old for this ****.

People who are too old are exactly who can afford $800 for VIP tix to Coachella. Organizers know those of us who grew up in the college rock/alternative rock era aren't going to shell out that kind of dough to see Tame Impala headline. So they give us nostalgia. Stone Roses' debut came out 24 years ago. RHCP headlined Lollapalooza 1992. I saw Nick Cave at Lollapalooza 1994.
