The RTW Kiton shirts at Wilkes Bashford or their Kiton boutique in SF are $800-$1000. I really don't see a difference in the construction to my Inglese shirts (from NMWA). In fact the SA's have said more than once, "Oh, is that Kiton?"....."No, MTM Inglese" (at 1/3 the price)
Hmmm, thanks. More than I expected. I assume Wilkes is priced the same as the SF Kiton boutique. Seems like this is significantly higher price point than even Attolini. With a couple of Kiton shirts I have, I've noticed shrinkage in sleeve length and am wondering if this is more typical of shirts with more hand sewn seams than machine?

I don't notice any difference in shrinkage based upon my machine vs. handsewn other than the type of fabric

well I don't like linen in general, it's breezy but I still can't embrace the winkle...

Ah they go well with my summer sport coats and probably the only thing I can manage to wear comfortably in DC's humid summers. If I don't want people to see my shirt rumpling around my chest or mid section I'll button my jacket.

Same here. I integrate linen shirts into my work clothes. It's hot, sticky, and awful here in the summer. Just stay away from the stiffer, wrinkly Irish linen and drop some coin for nice Italian linen shirts. It's worth it.

I'm thinking about going all in with the business casual look this summer and rock those Portuguese Flannel shirts. I just want to be comfortable.

I'd like to try that but can't pull it off at work. Best I can do is mix in some dressier linen and unlined fresco wool and such. Post some pics of your new business casual look!

Interesting read but I've seen it before. Not sure Hollywood types trying to stand out from their peers in the Instagram age is exactly a bellwether for changing times. Still, evolution and change are good things. Will watch and participate with great curiosity.

Good rebuttal in Esquire:

I will believe in the death of the suit when the POTUS meets other heads of state in a T-shirt. (cue Captain Obvious dragging some sports charity event photo or other)

If he keeps listening to Metallica he just might.
