Just to let you guys know, there has been a lot of interest in the Merino 150s Borrelli suit (42R) that I have posted for sale. Obviously those who expressed interest first get priority. But, I'll have pics for all of you guys by tomorrow.

And, another update is in order. For those who are going to the Borrelli sale at the Boston Filenes Basement, the suits they have there (I just found out, disappointedly) are 75% wool, 25% cotton.

However, the suit I have for sale is 100% Merino 150s, as it was part of a Mr. Sid suit grab, not part of the current Borrelli buy.

You don't like wool/cotton blends? I think they are wonderful summer fabrics.

    A. Harris, the wool cotton blend is a great fabric. But, it just doesn't have the cache of a 100% wool, IMO. If you are looking for a lighter weight suit, I agree this is the way to go. I mean, to be honest, I didn't know they had any cotton in them until I happened upon the underside of the tag. I just think that when it comes down to it, most people will want 100% wool when making a $1200 purchase. You know?

For a basic purchase yes, you are right. But those wool/cotton blends make flat out great summer fabrics. I've got a pair of tan Brioni trousers - 70/30 wool/cotton I think and I really like them.

I would love a pair of trousers in such a fabric.
