i wear a 9 in sperrys and a 9 in sebagos, sebagos a tiny bit more roomy IMO which works for me since a size 9 in sperrys is tight

for reference:
my foot is wide so while some people size down in chucks i dont, i wear a 9 in almost everything

9 vans
9 chucks
9 converse
9 adidas
9 sperrys
8.5 clarks
42 common projetcs
9.5 nikes
9 sebagos

Does anyone else have more sizing info on the Sebago's compared to the Sperrys?

size 8.5 is a bit tight for me with sperrys, i was wondering if sebago's 8.5 were bigger so i can go for the 8.5 or should just size up to 9?

i would say go to 9. i feel like sebagos are a bit narrower than sperrys.

Sebago are a tad longer and narrower but do sell wide fittings. I'm a UK 11 / US 12 with slightly wide feet and went US 11.5 Wide in Sebagos which gives a decent fit.

+1 To my 8D foot, Sebagos are a little roomier in both width and length than Sperries.

They're not Quoddy or Yuketen. When your Sperry top-siders wear out, get a new pair or spend the money for a pair of higher quality deck shoes/boots that will last for many years. Even Sebago is a step up from Sperry, IMO.

hmmm wow that is sort of conflicting..... i can fit into the sperrys but the length is just 1/2 inch too small...... when i wear the size 9 in sperry's they are loose even when i tighten them.

I am assuming the 8.5 Sebagos as stated are a bit longer so i should be able to fit them quite well... but someone mentioned more narrow? should i be going for the W? instead of the D?

I am leaning towards the 8.5W
