1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Ruh roh...

Are you are at the stage yet where you have a person showing your dogs?

    That's what WASP crazies do.

No. People who show their animals are odd.

I like the vest, too. And the lapels. But the coat's a bit shapeless for my tastes, and the shoulders a bit wide. A nice suit, but no Steed. [IMG]

    I agree completely.

I might just be having a mental blank, but I can't think of a 'best suit ever'. Certainly not one that I'd have a picture of, anyway.

I do very much like this -

, which would be too tight for most tastes here. That grey flannel db worn by the long-haired gentleman is also quite nice, although I'm not crazy about the shoulders.

I would, however, say that this is probably the best blazer/reefer that I've ever seen:

... which would also probably be disliked by many here. Hmm.

Well, usually, they have someone who does that for them...the ones who run around the arena, looking winded and who take care of the poop.

The owners are usually at cocktail parties a few states away...this would be a good model for you.

But I'm glad to hear that you haven't succumbed. The potential is there, though.

I think the Duke looks a lot better here:

I wanted to post pics of Yves Montand in "the choice of arms" but can't find any with google images. Will try to get screenshots. I usually like what Peter Lorre is wearing. The thin man movies also had some good suits but, like the dialogue, they very well may be too perfect for my taste.

Our friends say that my wife and I ate straight out of the Thin Man, but instead of Asta, we have a small, human pet.

I believe Powell is in A&S, bit Ill check.

Wow, those pictures of McQueen just confirm how much Daniel Craig has adopted his style.

Ill-fitting Tom Ford is a style?

Well, He is trying to cop his vibe for sure.

All the way down to the hair.

Personally, I like the way Craig looked in QOS.

People in general used to be more elegant and that is a fact...
My late mum used to tell me how much people used to be proud of their suits and dresses..

The sunday clothes ,the trip to the tailor was not only reserved to the happy few...The stroll on the local promenade ,the trip to the posher end of town was a reason to celebrate your beloved clothes..

The casual maffia is getting stronger by the minute and even the workplaces are getting casualer at any excuses..
That is making me sad...Even when people are seeing me wearing a suit in town ,they ask me why...It is why I love coming on Style forum...

Sorry but movie stars used to be mysterious ,wearing lovely clothes and making people dream...
Now , have a look at any magazines and you will see pictures of big actors wearing uber casual clothes...
