Why does it seem that the Vass market is imploding? With box, bag, and lasted trees, these are a steal. If only they were in my size....

Probably because Carmina price has dropped down to impulse buy territory for a lot of US folks recently, while Vass is still a bit hard to swallow.

That's a ridiculous (good) price.

I think Vass has always been a bit of difficult sell on SF. I think it offers a good cost - quality ratio, and I really like the U last.

Don't get this at all.

Vass 2nd hand is an incredible value. Regularly found for $350-$450 on the B&S for a lightly worn pair (often with trees). At this price it blows Carmina out of the water in detail, quality, and lasts.

Unless you have a problem buying pre-owned: Vass will wear better, look better, and hold value better should you ever decide to sell.

Agree with all of that but the issue is convincing everyone else!

I think that one of the issues is that people are nervous about Vass sizing.

This is exacerbated, of course, by the fact that quite a lot of the "Vass for sale" posts in the B&S subforum mention "got my size wrong" as the main reason for selling!

True ... but I'd be way more wary of a maker like Carmina and their never ending lasts. Good point, though.

NWT Loro Piana suit by st. andrews in 40, $559 and accept offer

very great deal IMO

Great stuff. @TM79 aren't you a 40L? He has some other good offerings as well.

I am looking into the one that is closer to a 40R, but need to see pics of the pleats on the pants. Could be a deal breaker.
