I recall there being a couple pair of pig skin shoes posted in this thread over the years that I've liked. Do you or @ntempleman care to comment on working/ living with pig skin for shoes?

I quite like the grain of pigskin, it’s usually been hard to get hold of good quality stuff in the U.K. though. Funnily enough I’ve just ordered some to try from a new source in Italy, Apparently it’s good but I’ll know more when it arrives in the next week or two and get started on a sample out of it.
A lot of pigskin I’ve handled has been very “cardboardy” but the good stuff I’ve seen is great, I’d have a pair made for myself no question

Yup, what's popularly called Scotch grain, same type of pattern.

It's a pretty neat leather IMO, when the fibres are compressed together, a nice mix between suede, nubuck and embossed grain leathers sort of.

You just have to rub some Bick 4 on it to get rid of the cardboardy feeling.

what pigskin shoe do you have? I have seen a few from AM that's "interesting" but even thought I would go for it
