What kind of leather is this? Pigskin?

I quite like the grain of pigskin, it’s usually been hard to get hold of good quality stuff in the U.K. though. Funnily enough I’ve just ordered some to try from a new source in Italy, Apparently it’s good but I’ll know more when it arrives in the next week or two and get started on a sample out of it.
A lot of pigskin I’ve handled has been very “cardboardy” but the good stuff I’ve seen is great, I’d have a pair made for myself no question
