I'm not that lazy so I don't need lazyman shoes. Also I don't own a tux so no need to have a shoe that can be worn with a suit, tux, and flannel+odd jacket.
Sounds like a good excuse to get a tuxedo. I suppose it could be worn with trousers too (not just flannel). But somehow the black color works better in the winter than summer.

I would like to get a bespoke tux but then I think about when and where I'm going to wear it which would be almost never. At least with bespoke suits, I can wear to the office.

I love loafers but they are easily the most unforgiving shoe if they don't fit. So I should be a fan of the more comfortable lazyman.

Agreed, I tried many loafers in different styles from different makers, but couldn't find one that fit rightly. Finally I've found a good last at Perticone Bespoke and commissioned a pair which should be made shortly.

I met with lastmaker Simon Bolzoni today for a first fitting on my commision of cap toe monkstrap shoes with punching. I was initially inspired by the Edward Green "Hove" but have since learned this style of shoe has been around for more than 100 years. Lol. There is no outer sole whatsoever on the fitting shoes. The darker burgundy French calf swatch is the color I have selected for the finished shoes.

Simon commented the uppers will be need to be remade to reduce volume and also reshape a slightly smarter toe. Since there will be a remake I decided to add a medallion with smaller scale punching. Had there been only minor adjustments to make, these could have been what would become my finished shoes. There's a possibility of a second fitting next month in London but there's no hurry on anything as far as I'm concerned. Simon also mentioned adding 1.5 to 2mm in length to the cap toe in order make the proportions more pleasing.

I'm having a pleasant experience so far with Canons Bespoke and having the feeling I'm in really good hands! I ask a lot of questions and receive patient responses from Simon with sufficient detail.
