The Berluti shoe thread

    Count me in as a Berluti fan. I visited their flagship store at the Rue Marbeuf in Paris last Fall and it's very impressive. I specially like their "Swann Club" upstairs complete with a bar, photos of their famous clients and dining area.
    You swallowed the mystique that they're pitching. Nothing wrong with that, but just so long as you know that you aren't just buying their product for the inherent value of their product.

    Although I wouldn't buy Berluti but I have to admit I like looking at them, the finishes are extraordinary, some of the lasts can stand up to 8000, 888, or U. Only if they are better contructed.

    The loafers are OK. Wearable but just a bit wonky. The other shoes pictured are just abortions, or at least they should have been.

    The photo doesn't do it justice. What makes Berluti so unique is their 'patina' and coloring. That pair actually has a 'glow' and the Siena Brown/ Black combo is quite beautiful. [​IMG]
