1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

They achieved legend, beyond the Dylan years. So much beauty...but so much pain. There is no other.

Is it heresy to call The Band overrated?

I guy who I used to read would always go on and on about Rock of Ages. So I listened to it a few times and thought it to be the poor man's version of The Allman's Live at the Filmore East. Crazy talk?

I never thought they were that great. Perfect as a Dylan backup but aside from that just OK.

Yeah, this new "The Band" threak offers so much more vlaue than his old thread of the same name.

For about the fifteenth time, I'm going to suggest that we create and pin a "Connemara Kultchurr Threak" as a repository for all future drive-by encomiums about the likes of Levon Helm, Bill Evans, et al.

I love Music From Big Pink, The Last Waltz, all the solo stuff, etc. etc. but I thought for sure this thread was about...

...THE Ohio State University Band, getting absolutely schooled by some bunch o' down-country bluegrass boys...
