Are there any actual differences between army vs sport chino?

Cut is very different (Army chinos are less tapered and have a higher rise), fabric is considerable thicker, heavier, and more canvas-like on the Army chinos, and the Army chinos have double stitched side seams compared to the standard dress trouser style side seams on the Sport chinos.
