Hey everyone, im getting married in 1.5 weeks and just shoring up my wedding attire. I got a nice MTM true midnight navy from NMWA that im in love with, and trying to find shoes. I saw this pair of black Baudoin and Lange black suede loafers on The Armoury, and wanted to know if anyone had any opinions on the appropriateness for black tie. I quite like them, but this would be the first time wearing black tie where I didnt just wear a pair of black captor Park Avenues. Thanks in advance!
I think these are perfectly appropriate for black tie.
If you care at all, the Baudoin and Lange are essentially a Belgian Loafer (from https://belgianshoes.com/shop/suede-8/) minus the bow tie. A black suede belgian like the one I linked would be absolutely appropriate for black tie.
I wear the black suede Belgian loafer when I go black tie.
RL has a similar shoe:

I would not wear a tassel loader with black tie.

Edited to add. Congratulations! @blacksamurai30

Has anyone in UK/Europe bought The Armoury products online? I really want to buy a pair of their Sport Chinos - I have the Olive one from Markkt and they are super comfy and looking for a pair of beige in 48. If anyone has any to sale 2nd hand and willing to ship to the UK, then even better.

To the Armoury HK regulars, do you know if Musella Dembech still visits the HK store? I was there a few months ago and got the impression that he might have stopped

Hi all, would anybody be able to give me a real life measurement of the hem width on the size 48 sport chino? I have a feeling it’s narrower than stated on the website. They look like great pants but I’m concerned they might have too much of a carrot/toothpick shape to them. Thanks!

I have a size 50 and the hem opening listed on the site is accurate (about 7.75 inch). I’d say because the thigh/knee are fairly full, the opening measurement reads slimmer than it actually looks. I definitely wouldnt say it’s toothpick skinny. But if you’re looking for “big pants” these probably arent what you want.

That makes sense, thanks for sharing. I’m always searching for the perfect chino and these could be close for me - I might have to give them a try.

Shout out to The Armoury for above and beyond service. Consistently fast shipping, clear and professional email responses every time and they have never dropped the ball in my experience. This week I had to return something and shipped them back the wrong garment bag/item and they were right on top of taking care of me. Thanks!

Does anyone have any experience with the Tailor CAID trunk show and would be willing to share their thoughts/experience?

I’m interested in a casual jacket in a tweed or other woolen fabric for wear with jeans and chinos.
I don't but it's a bucket list experience for me. Absolutely love his stuff. Was quoted between $4300 and $6500 for a bespoke jacket from Caid and that's... quite a bit above my budget.

Just wanted to post that I've listed a bunch of chinos (4 Sport and 1 Army) from the Armoury up on classifieds, if you're a size 46/30x30 do take a look!
