They mis-represent. My understanding is that the shoes are made by Cheaney which is not in Northampton

What’s mis represented? I thought Fukuda did make the last design, just someone else making the shoes instead (I.e. not a Fukuda factory somehow magically exist in Northampton).

Haven’t tried in person yet but I do like the last design from looking at it (plus wider in the front is always a plus to me). I mean if it’s CJ quality shoe (which I have no idea if it is, but pretty sure anyone can achieve CJ benchgrade) then probably worth a shot.

Edit: didn’t realize the suspected maker wasn’t in Northampton, though since we don’t know who the maker is guess just more spectulation until they feel like disclose the maker

See this post which reveals the maker to be Cheaney:

The houndstooth-slash-plaid is crazy cool but the gray twill looks lush; congrats!

edit: and +1 for what looks like a nice high gorge on the 3-button, at least from the pic.

Yeah houndstooth is pretty cool. My wife and mark cho liked it because it’s 100% cashmere lol and was one of the “vintage” fabrics with only enough material for one jacket. The gray twill is nice and thick and fabric feels more stiff if that makes sense. I liked the higher gorge for my shorter stature so worked out for me
