So my final thoughts on this - buy either a Sport or an Edition and skip the middle.

Sport if you intend to replace frequently since this will undoubtedly be a 1st gen product

Edition if you are baller. They will most likely sell reasonably well, go through a devaluation and then pick up 20 years from now or something in value if yours is mint.

Anything in the middle just seems like a bad compromise. There will eventually be third party straps so even if you want a metal strap, you might as well wait (especially if what Gruber is reporting the prices are going to be).

38 vs 42 is a bit more difficult. The problem is watch presence. These are going to stand off the wrist quite a bit, so the smaller size may wear larger.

Anyway, I will be buying a Sport most likely as much as I hate the thought of a rubber band - figure an aftermarket leather is just a matter of time.

There is a live feed on Bloomberg of the event. So far it is promoting iPhones roll in medical research and monitoring. I recall last summer that subject came up as a new frontier for phones and watches. Looks like it is happening.

The new macbook looks slick except:
gold? bleh.

usb-c? What is this ****? Is anyone actually going to adopt it.
It may be 5 ports in one, but I only see one port (plus a headphone jack on the other side). Want to plug into a projector and load up a presentation from a thumb drive? **** you, get a hub (and you probably needed a converter to plug that thumb drive in).
Is it also the power jack? So now you can't charge while doing those things (although I am going to assume the charger has a built in hub because otherwise this would be idiotic).

New Macbook looks really really nice. First Macbook update that's tempted me in the last couple of years.

Interesting that they're calling it just "the new Macbook" and not "Macbook Air."

I think the gold one looks pretty good. I'm gonna spring for that or space grey. Tired of silver.
