Apple stores are awful awful places to be. The one in Grand Central is infuriating because there are employees running around everywhere but none are ever available to help.

45 minutes to replace a single key on a keyboardis ridiculous no matter how you slice it.

At least they didn't charge me for it. Props there.

I find Apple Stores some of the better brick and mortar experience out there. Certainly good for technology retail and repair.

How are third party keyboards playing with 8.1? Do they still have bugs and shit?

I haven't found one that doesn't drive me crazy. Swype far too frequently takes correctly spelled words and replaces them with other words that it thinks you meant to use. For instance it repeatedly changes "near" to "best". At this point my gripe isn't about the way iOS handles third party keyboards but about the keyboards themselves. As much as I like to complain about iOS autocorrect, it has worked much better for me than any alternative.

I still find they don't load quick enough and sometimes still don't appear at all. I went back to Apple for now.

I have found it depends on the theme with some. The nickel theme for Swiftkey loads way faster than the black.

Good for you. I'm a bit hestitant with the throttling issue, it probably won't affect me but I'm not in need of a new computer just yet. I'm running a Mac Pro hackintosh and two 2K screens.

Dropped my iPhone 6+ into a porta-potty last night drunk at a football tailgate. Had to fish it out halfway up my forearm in blue portapotty piss water. Luckily touched no shit while I was in there. Phone works perfectly today. :embar:

We are approaching two months since the release of the iPhone 6/6+ and I think it's safe to say I was right in cautioning people to not overreact too quickly over "bendgate". Whole thing turned out to be a non issue for the vast majority of iPhone owners. Only a small minority had problem. This is what happens with Apple these days. Any issue the company has gets blown way out of proportion by the media to create hype and get page views. @dcg

Well, mine is definitely not going to bend, because I switched back to a 5 a couple of days ago. I'm confident the 6 can withstand the pressures of sitting in a drawer.:hide:
