I’ve thought about asking lovat mill to recreate the length and see if they would go in on half the cost with me.

Apparently I was the first one to give them this length from the LL.

I didn’t know lovat even worked with individuals / sold cut lengths. My thought was ask steed. Or, another thought, message il vecchio drappiere (ig below) & ask them. Send them a photo. They have a lot of fabrics in their store that aren’t online. See if they have something similar. They’re not cheap but they have a lot of fabric.

You need to be sure that Lovat doesn't get into trouble with Alden. Then there is the question of putting 100m together. A tailor has a better chance of doing that than an individual.

I was just suggesting, that if theyre going to make the jacket, you should reach out to them - there may be a fabric similar in the current fabric books. Asking here, imo, is a shot in the dark. The fabric store in Milan might have something similar.
