I can assure you that there is only 1ply of hand made wadding in those shoulders.

The fabric is very heavy and thick, about 19/20oz and the client is quite square in his shoulders. All of which will give the impression of it being more structured in a 2D photo than it is in person.

The jacket will wear in nicely over the Fall & Winter and soften off as normal. Especially at the top of the sleeve head.

Here is a photo from the fitting. This was this Gents first commission from us after a single fitting so we’re pleased with the result and will check in with him in a couple months to see how it’s wearing.

    Cheers,
    Matthew Deboise

I like what I see overall. It's as good as it gets for a first commission.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
As indicated in the post, my experience has been
quite the opposite. I too have broad square
shoulders and any padding seems to exaggerate
this. But then, I am not your customer.

Also recent Steed. This jacket is much improved after a few tweaks earlier this year. Now it's what I was hoping for, a versatile, lightweight, summer jacket. The cloth is @dieworkwear's navy houndstooth fresco from a couple years ago.

It's a Fox Flannel that @Fishball designed to be similar to the "Agnelli tweed." I like it better than the blue windowpane on grey options that seem to be in most books because it also has a narrower white windowpane next to the blue.

This is a better photo of the suit fabric.

Very nice. That's now in the Fresco III book, no?

Beautiful. I have some of the LL Agnelli Tweed in Mr Despos shop being made up right now. I can see the difference better in this pic.

I don't know. The one I ran was under the Fresco II quality. Slightly different, but pretty similar.

This looks great. I have that LL Tweed and was considering selling it. But after seeing Steed's work, I'm going to keep it and hope that my tailor does justice to it in the same way that Steed has.
