Is it sacrilegious to ask an expat to make a jacket where the lapels are somewhat concave?

I shouldn't think so. I assume you mean lapels similar to Liverano ones, for instance?

I can only speak for Steven Hitchcock - his house style is obviously very similar to A&S, but he was very relaxed about deviating from this and actively encouraged me to have as much input as I wanted design wise. In the end we changed quite a few things on the lapels - increased the belly, tightened up the angle of the notch, gorge height and so on. Based on this, I don't think it would have been an issue at all.
