    @NotCrispy
Top coats run true to size, I am an XL in most brands and the AMI top coats fit me well in XL. The shearling bomber (at least last FW) fit me really slim and I ended up returning it because it felt to restrictive and was too cropped for me (I'm 6'2")

Has anybody picked up any of this seasons cords? I'm wondering if they are the same fit as the seamless chinos from spring/summer? They look like it, but places like Frans Boone give measurements that make them seem much more relaxed, which would be awesome.

+1 for this thread. Ever since I have found AMI it has become the center of my wardrobe, probably 20 deep in buttondowns and several suits/sweaters/pants/blazers 3 tuxes (unreal value) and some footwear to round it out. Never handled the denim or gone for outerwear at this point, but if anyone wants to know any fit questions I have done some digging on a lot of their pieces. Also, if you like their shirts, I have picked up some MELINDAGLOSS shirts that fit similar and are quite nice. MG pants in my opinion are also beautiful, it seems like they are in proximity to each other in Paris and MG is doing some cool things now as well.

Which version are these? The suit trousers or carrot fit?

I just tried on the size 32 and the leg opening was about 14." They fit me very well. I've already got too many clothes otherwise I'd keep them. These aren't suit trousers persay, but are more like chinos and can be dressed up as well easily.

Does anyone have any advise on sizing for the carrot fit wool pants?

Looks like I'm pretty much between a 40 and 42. I'm normally a size 34" and take a 40 in most pants, however I have larger thighs so I'm thinking maybe I should go with the 42.

Anyone have some real life experience with these? @OccultaVexillum @juven

I don't have a pair of these (although I want all 3 colours) but I'd say go 42. I am a large/42 in the chinos and 34 in the AMI fit denim and they fit slim bit nice. the carrot fit should obv have more room in the thigh so I don't think you'd need to size up though.
Maybe @Understudy could shine some light since they stock the chinos and carrot fits and denim?

    Thanks OV.

I've been emailing back and forth with Liam from Understudy but I was hoping to get some advice from someone who owns or has tried the pants before. I thought going with the size 42 instead of my usual 40 was sizing up (for a regular size 34" pant)?

I do want them to be fairly loose fitting, so I'm leaning to the size 42.

My chinos actually say "42" in the tag, but are a size large. So from what I understand fr 42 = us 34/50
I have a pair of the black cords coming from understudy that should be here on Tuesday as well, and based off measurements the carrot fit in the same size have an extra inch in the thigh and about a 1.5" longer rise, so you should be good in a 42. I'm actually trying to decide between 42 and 44. I really want to do the full suit in the grey wool but I can't find a grey wool blazer anywhere in a 54. I might do the indigo instead if I can find a good price.

I recently got a pair that are getting hemmed at the moment, I have large thighs for my size from hockey and went with a 40, typically wear a 32 waist. They fit comfortably and had a nice taper, I agree with OV, 42 should be perfect for you.

How short are you? All the pics I've seen of this seasons carrot fit trousers make them seem like they are already pretty short. Like a clean break leaning towards cropped. Just curious.

Also if anybody spots a pair of the black denim in a size 34 in the "AMI fit" please let me know. @Understudy and Need Supply are the only spots I know that had the AMI fit and both are out of 34's :/

    I'm 6'1" and a bit.

I find the big thing with pants with a drop crotch/ longer rise if they are worn on the hips or higher on the waist. That obviously effects how cropped they look when worn.

Do you mind sharing the pic's you are mentioning OV?
