I have the opposite reaction, I tend to become more intelligent. I think because the blood drains out of my penis.

I just finished watching Amazing Spider-Man. Wow!! I really regret not seeing it in theaters. I definitely liked it better than Raimi's Spider-Man's (we all agree that 3 was a pile of crap, anyways). The web slingin' through the cranes was :slayer: Definitely a great origin movie and I like how they have this big mystery surrounding his father. Can't wait for the sequel.

To me this is good news. Jamie Foxx is one of the most talented male actors in Hollywood.

i can't believe anybody thinks Jamie Foxx as Electro is anywhere in the vicinity of a good idea.

Here here for James Franco to reprise his role as Harry!!

EDIT: and maybe it's just the first few hits on my google search, but Shailene Woodley looks a bit young to be playing MJ. (Despite the Dunst abomination) Always pictured her as... oh, I don't know... hot...?

    +1

"Face it tiger, you just hit the jackpot." Shailene Woodley is an attractive young woman but hardly jackpot material.

Finally saw this movie and I don't have a lot to say. It had it's moments that I truly enjoyed, but the whole thing felt largely pointless. My earlier assertion that rebooting the franchise with another origin story was a big mistake, stands more then ever.

Copy and paste this line in any future superhero movie thread for Rambo's thoughts on the matter. ;)

That extended scene of him skating to Coldplay was really odd.

The score was the worst part of the movie, but the rest I loved it. I really would like to know who the fuck thought some of those songs were right for a Spiderman flick. I get that the approach was to do something different from to set this one apart from the previous saga, but I needed some Spidey tunes!!!

Really? I thought that was one of the few parts that they got right. Sure there could have been more of it, but you can tell what they were going for and it largely worked for me.
