Very. Cool. Thread.
I fully agree. There is a general theme to 99% of the shoes in this thread so far, which is that people want high quality, timeless designs, with traditional details. I think there is certainly room for growth in the timeless classics at AE's price point.
Thank you sir! I added black. I also added in Suede to the color list... Somehow I forgot them!
Definitely agree. I think adding some of the features of the Independence Collection to their Shell Cordovan lineup would be nice. My MTOs have been primarily focused on getting the lambskin and rolled edging...
MTO # 1
Dalton in Walnut cordovan
MTO # 2
the stitching was made incorrectly but AE offered me a great deal on them to make up for it. Here were the original specs:
1579 CAPPUCCINO CORDOVAN
TONE ON TONE UPPER STITCH
STANDARD LEATHER INSOLE-HEEL PAD WITH LEATHER LINER OK
CHILI SPLIT REVERSE WELT
TAN WELT STITCH
BLACK DAINITE OUTSOLE
MTO # 3
*SPLIT REVERSE OUTSOLE
*MINI LUG TAP OUTSOLE
*POLO BROWN TRANSPARENT EDGE DRESSING
I really want to get those Brown Shell Strands with Indy Lining, Edging, and Sole. But, I ended up buying 5 pairs of Aldens this week... All crimes of opportunities like eBay and JCrew offering 20% off. I need to save for a little and see what I am going to be offloading before acquiring anything else...
It was made to the specs of the Webgem with a slight alteration to the sedge trim. I cannot remember exactly the difference but there was a minor tweak I believe
MTO # 4 (in process...will update with pics when available)
1573 NATURAL CHROME EXCEL
**KHAKI UPPER STITCHING
NATURAL SPLIT REVERSE WELT
RED DAINITE WITH NATURAL MIDSOLE
Incredible work updating the first post! Super comprehensive and well laid out
These are straight up epic!
Two MTOs I'd like to see reposted here are the black suede Rutledge and burgundy shell Hannover. Does anyone recall the owners?
