It ends tomorrow 4/20!
Yes sir ^^
Took some Reno to the MTO Cappuccino Bayfields that I bought form Ryden, after a bunch more AE polish came off they are turning into a wonderfully rich and beautiful color. For the first time I am really seeing the difference between the Dark Brown and Cappuccino cordovan. AE had caked so much stuff on both my Dundees and Bayfields that originally they both looked quite similar. Now when seen in the sun the brown has a brownish/olive undertone and the Cappuccino is revealing such an awesome red undertone. I will see if I can find my Nikon and take some picks tomorrow in the sunlight.
BTW: Let me know what you think of the Alden laces, I am not sure they work as well. The Bayfield eyelets are quite far apart. I am going to give them a few test wearings and see if I like them.
Dark Brown vs. Cappuccino cordovan:
Boots look great but i prefer the stock laces but YMMV.
Thank you for posting this. Because I honestly could not tell the difference between my Cappuccino's and Brown Shells. They looked to me to be essentially the same color and I was annoyed at how much up played Cappuccino was for not apparent difference. But, I definitely like the Red-undertone and can not wait to get that out of my Jeffersons!!!
BTW, I really like the Alden Flat Waxed laces and believe that they make essentially any dress boot look better.
That cappuccino sure is lovely. I was THIS close to being able to get a pair in this color, but SOMBODY in this board had ordered 4 pairs right before Allison got to me!
I didn't get 4 pairs but Allison did tell me I got some of the last cappuccino shell available. My first pair didn't pass inspection and my second pair came long after the "No More Cappuccino" announcement was made.
I'm just busting balls a little.
More than happy with my decision to go with burgundy on my cordovan kenilworth. I think they were holding a tiny bit in reserve just to cover remakes of shoes currently in production, just in case they failed inspection.

They can do navy suede?
What's the associated cost if you get an existing shoe with a different leather option?
Zero. That's what makes the styleforum MTO worth it--you build, with some limitations, your desired shoe from their selection of leathers, soles, lasts, linings, and insoles, and AE charges you the same as for a stock shoe. Recently certain upgrades can only be done as a package and carry an upcharge (wheeled edges, certain liners, and Redenbach soles), but those are the exceptions.
My MTO Jefferson's from Post #2 after a few wears.
Funny how you walk funny to not get any rolls.
I picture marching.
Kidding, of course.
They look great, Mike.
Right?? A few wears, my ass!!!!!!!
