1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yup. I think there are now three ties left. I'll post the ones available this afternoon and folks can claim em in the order they posted here or messaged me.

Thanks for thinking of me Claghorn. Very kind of you.

I own one Difou tie (I think only one) and while it’s OK for the money, I doubt I’ll buy another; it’s a silk blend block-stripe. It makes a decent but not great knot and it requires a bit more work than I’d like to tie it. And while this wouldn’t be a deal-killer for me if there were compensating factors, I also don’t much like the feel of the thing: it’s rather unpleasantly stiff (as opposed to nicely crisp, say).

The notion of “OK for the money” is tricky, because it’s got to be relativized to the individual. For someone starting out his collection with a limited budget, Difou is worth taking a look at for staples. But that doesn’t describe most of us here.

    Thanks again.

    Cheers,

    Ac

Yeah, it's definitely best suited for people starting out and/or non-hobbyists.

    ---

Here are the ties available. All are either wool, wool/silk, or wool/cupra, with one being linen-silk and one being silk. Standard width and length.

The tipping looks [IMG], but i am also surprised a tie at that price is rolled/unlined/whatever term people use.

Thanks @Claghorn . Can you tell me which are pure wool? I'd prefer to avoid since I'm in a hot climate. If it's too much trouble then don't worry about it, I can't be too picky for a $6 tie. I'll wait for @2942 to make his choice.

    I think E and F are 100% wool.

I'll do all the Paypal stuff when they are ready to be shipped.

I'll start dwelling on that if they stay relevant for another 15.

Regardless, I've never let fandom interfere with a realistic assessment of my teams' chances, even on the years where there was a toss up.

Totally fair. I keep waiting for the Spurs to drop off (this year might be the year!), but then I realize that's been the consensus line of thought since about 2008 lol.

    Confirmed.

I'm going to post again on the Ragged Trouser Philanthropist thread, and if there are no more takers, I'll open it up to second picks, with the first going to chejinsun, who is just starting his business wardrobe.

I posted in the RTP thread, but if nobody claims the other 2, Chejinsun will get first pick from the two remaining and one of y'all can nab the other.
