You get the "gold foil reserve logo" and poron, and I'm pretty sure that justifies the price."I can't even" (as the kids say)...
I’ve stretched the $&@# out of shoes before using this wonderful device. But: we can’t stretch the footbed, so it may not end up being comfortable…

$1500 for Allen Edmonds. Now I’ve seen it all."I can't even" (as the kids say)...
Here here! Hell, I couldn’t tell you the last time I even used polish on any of my shoes! A nice spit shine (quick buff rather than full on shine actually) does the trick for me most of the time 😋I just use VSC. I used to use Cordovan creams, but didn’t find that they were needed. Especially since most of my Shell shoes are marbled.
What do you think will wear quicker…this is trans lug? (sic burn brah)It is a one piece sole, so if you chew up heels quickly, you may have to get new soles quite often. Wilberts taught me this.
Those are quite nice! These natural shell Strands arrived yesterday. The interesting truth is that I tried to order a pair of these in the past with a double JR and beige stitch (except the shell was bourbon). AE got it wrong two times when making them, so I just kept the 2nd pair at a discount. This F2 got everything right that I wanted years ago. I guess things like this can happen when you least expect it.

On another note, these coffee Leeds have a large air bubble on the left shoe at the throat. I tried them on, but it's uncomfortable with this on my left ankle. These will have to go back and it's a shame.

Man, I miss Kristen. If I were running AE, I would randomly ship reserve F2s to the 2 Wisconsin stores in unmarked cardboard boxes with no indication of size or content and ensure neither of the stores is even aware they have them in their inventory for people to actually purchase.
C'mon you know I'm right.
Gasp! Neo! Noooooooo! Don’t give in to the squishy soles! That new AE sole looks very similar to the outsole on my Denali chelsea. I thought I would hate it but it's not terrible. I might actually prefer it to the gumlite. Although you mentioned some of the Alden outsoles - I'd take any of those over the AE, including both the neocork and the crepe, I think they're both better.
