I’ve stretched the $&@# out of shoes before using this wonderful device. But: we can’t stretch the footbed, so it may not end up being comfortable…

This is good advice. I think he might be able to get away with it because it's just an E to D. EEE to D would obviously not work.

I am wearing my midnight navy Parks today, giving them a test run to see if I want to wear these to an important event. They feel like pure veg tan leather like minvera, so the upper is about as stiff as it gets from AE.

Rutledges from the Independence collection:

You just had to post these to torture me with regret? Those look awesome.

It's a casual Friday for me, as almost no one is in the office today. Demim Strandmoks. These jeans are something I found on Ebay recently, brand new. From the listing, I did not know these were the older Uniqlo low rise jeans from around 2018-19 that they no longer make. These fit me much better than the new mid rise jeans. I don't think the seller knew either because they could have asked for $100 for these as they are rare and sought after. I just got lucky.

Brown shell park aves today. There's a lot of caked salt on the floor. But nothing's melting. As long as I don't step in salt/water puddles, I've never had issues with leather soles disintegrating.

So on a calf pair I’ll wax/shine the toes partly to help protect them from small bumps and scuffs. But what about shell? How can you protect it?

Sorry to ask a beginner question. I own lotsa boots but none in Allen Edmonds. I’ve been thinking about having someone mto a green suede Chelsea and while looking for inspiration, I came across AE Discovery in green suede.
Everything I can find suggests they run large. I’m an 8.5UK / 9.5D US pretty consistently. Any thoughts on size ? Maybe a 9D ?

I recommend that you find the nearest Allen Edmonds store and try them on. If they don’t have the boot you want in your size, try on another model that shares the same last as the Discovery. The store personnel are generally pretty good at triangulating which length/width combination will fit you best, at least based on the people I’ve worked with, who have been very helpful. It’s a little work in advance, but worth it to avoid disappointment for a MTO.

I just use VSC. I used to use Cordovan creams, but didn’t find that they were needed. Especially since most of my Shell shoes are marbled.
Here here! Hell, I couldn’t tell you the last time I even used polish on any of my shoes! A nice spit shine (quick buff rather than full on shine actually) does the trick for me most of the time 😋
It is a one piece sole, so if you chew up heels quickly, you may have to get new soles quite often. Wilberts taught me this.
What do you think will wear quicker…this is trans lug? (sic burn brah)
These natural shell Strands arrived yesterday. The interesting truth is that I tried to order a pair of these in the past with a double JR and beige stitch (except the shell was bourbon). AE got it wrong two times when making them, so I just kept the 2nd pair at a discount. This F2 got everything right that I wanted years ago. I guess things like this can happen when you least expect it.

On another note, these coffee Leeds have a large air bubble on the left shoe at the throat. I tried them on, but it's uncomfortable with this on my left ankle. These will have to go back and it's a shame.

Those are quite nice!

Did you try popping the air bubble like a pimple?

Saw y’all are keeping safe…hope everything’s as well in your world as it can be, especially little Profila.
If I were running AE, I would randomly ship reserve F2s to the 2 Wisconsin stores in unmarked cardboard boxes with no indication of size or content and ensure neither of the stores is even aware they have them in their inventory for people to actually purchase.

C'mon you know I'm right.
Man, I miss Kristen.
That new AE sole looks very similar to the outsole on my Denali chelsea. I thought I would hate it but it's not terrible. I might actually prefer it to the gumlite. Although you mentioned some of the Alden outsoles - I'd take any of those over the AE, including both the neocork and the crepe, I think they're both better.
Gasp! Neo! Noooooooo! Don’t give in to the squishy soles!
$1500 for Allen Edmonds. Now I’ve seen it all.

Hmm. Must have corrected the pricing…shows $800 for me. Nova still ain’t impressed.
