Well, you can come here and Berluti knot them for me if you want.
Ha! Just reverse the way the “rabbit goes round” before “going down the hole” and they’ll sit straight. I find that knot overkill. I use waxed laces and pull them tight with the standard knot and they last.
My running shoes turned work shoes stayed tied for like two years, until I put them in the wash and my wife decided to untie them 😵

In the category of "well I can't pass that up" I now have a pair of factory F2 Freeports in natty shell on the way. The price was absolutely bonkers. Can't wait to have those in hand.

Might stash them away for a few years until I'm done putting patina on my natty Higgins Mill from the trunk show a few years ago. These days they're a little darker than the old "chili" color.

Where do you find cuffed “dockers”? Or do you just order long and have it done? I haven’t seen them for sale in years.

I strongly commend you on the greens. The final pair is fire.

My Spier chinos come long and I just roll them twice for an easy cuff. Otherwise, my pants come with unfinished legs and I get to work with measuring, ironing, and sewing. I basically always do cuffs over a simple hem because it’s honestly easier to make look good. (The sewing is hidden by the cuff)

Land's End, you can specify the length and cuffed/uncuffed. Same with Spier & Mackay. S&M cut the calf a little snug so I still get Land's end chinos until S&M expands their relaxed fit stock.

Awesome! Wicked is great. I can’t stand the Wizard of Oz, but love Wicked.
As a kid, the Wizard of Oz was one of the scariest movies I'd ever seen. The flying monkeys taking off...I remember having nightmares about those. I had a sheltered childhood and didn't really see horror movies until my teens w/friends. I guess Mom thought a little girl, a tinman, a scarecrow and a lion. What's not to love.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
