I think Olive PA’s would go fine with a navy suit. I think that color of olive is a pretty dark green. I will post different colors with navyish pants

Thanks for your opinion and the pics! Those are some great-looking combinations.

This gives me a lot of food for thought!

I got new laces in the mail, and I was gonna slot in these guys for a wear today… sadly I randomly woke up with a purple colored toe that hurts like crazy (no idea when I stubbed it).

I have actually really started to like the middle width flat laces with boots. I think these are going to be winners.

Wearing the Crocodiles to work. Probably my most comfortable pair as far as crushed toe is concerned.

First solo adventure (to work) in the 911. No stalls, no tickets, no accidents. Just gotta see if I can make it home now, haha.

Ah, the fried egg headlights 😀
Stalling…because hurt toe/crocs, idling issues, or first manual?

First manual. Most of my driving had been highway driving or backroads until week when I started to drive it to work.

I still probably infuriate everyone around me (mostly because they’re all impatient pricks), but I am getting better. I still don’t know the secret of rocketing away from a red light like everyone behind me expects me to do.

You can find Goodyear welted footwear for under $200. This is acceptable quality. A single piece vamp. One piece of leather wraps around your whole foot. Not a bunch of small pieces glued and stitched together. No chance of glue delamination, or stitches bursting open. Full leather lining.

On my feet, they are comfortable. The fit is true to my Brannock size. The rubber sole provides adequate traction for city walking. I wouldn't wear them into combat. Just fine for off the books massages, chasing after the bus, and sitting in a pew for hours of worship.

Been a while since I posted in this thread. Wore my beloved "Mistake" McTavish pair today. These are a ShoeBank pair that were supposed to be Cognac but the finish didn't quite work, leaving an almost antiqued look that absolutely love - they're one of my top-favorite pairs

Cool. That car definitely has less bottom end than the car I learned on in high school, but you’ll get there. The idea is to get the clutch out as quickly as you can without being jerky. Maybe at first you can hold the throttle partly open and use the clutch to take off smoothly. Harder on the clutch, but you’ll start to get a feel for how much throttle you need to smoothly leave the line. Also, if you do any hills and it doesn’t have hill assist (and even if it does), you can use the parking brake to hold you in place until you get comfortable enough with the clutch to take off on a hill without rolling back.

Randolph in Walnut Shell Cordovan

Susan at the Shoe Bank hooked me up again. I called last week to see if there was anything rare or unusual hanging around. I’m usually a 10eee, but they had a pair of 10 2e Walnut Cordovan Randolphs from (what I’m guessing) is the early to mid twenty teens based on logo types and font stylings). Look at that detail. Look at that color. And the fit is great, too…not to mention: double thick JR.

Bonus: Monty has commandeered another box.
