Lol. I currently live in CA so that would be quite the move. Would be nice to finally meet Ashley in person, though!

No I totally get it. Without actually meeting you guys the best I could come up with would be Amy Poehler and Samantha Mathis. But in person I could probably do a lot better.

The Oliver sneakers....AE going after Allbirds now? Everything everywhere all at once huh?

In all seriousness I'm concerned AE will end up like Grenson.

Are these the actual weatherproof versions? Love the pairing with the trousers!
No, it is a very standard Walnut Strand that I made made 8 years ago. Well before the lug craze. It was because on some days I found it too difficult to use rubbers.

Just bought some socks from AE retail. My store had its biggest week in 4 years for Shell. Every pair sold at the increased price. That is the Oaktards at their best. These folks never buy anything on sale. The higher the price, the better.

I know that feel. When I'm with a girl, I hate to put on a rubber.

I mean...

Yeah, I also hate galoshes!

When I did my MBA, there was a course on Marketing with a simulation. We had to manufacture and market products based on changing market preferences. So there were maybe 4 attributes for each product, one of which was price. market segments demanded the attributes be certain values and would buy based on how products met there demands. You could market a product towards their demands as well if it wasn't a perfect match. My team won because I had us put R&D into a product that would have attribute values matching demands for 2 market segments, but with price being the main difference between the two. For example, if Segment A wanted attributes x, y, and z to have values 5, 1, and 7, and Segment B wanted those attributes to have values 4, 2, and 6, all respectively, Segment A wanted to pay a lot of money, but segment B did not. So I'd make a single R&D product with attributes 4, 2, and 6 to match Segment B. Then I would just raise the price on the same product and rebrand it as a different one and market it to match Segment A's demands. I'd charge a ton for that product. The result was I could basically make 1 product and pretend it was 2, with the only difference between the 2 products being price and marketing.
