Ok... this is how this works, pick your favorite to win each category, and whoever gets the most right will win a special SF "custom" avatar of any celebrity of your choice, made by ME!

I've done everyone the favor of limiting it to the "major" awards. No costuming awards or sound editing or design. trying to keep it simple.

Doesn't that sound super?

Oh, and as a tiebreaker, how many oscars will the top movie win?

I know all the films were released in 2006,but officially I think it is the 2007 Oscars.
Sorry to split hairs but if I didn't someone else would.

And I think the top movie will walk away with 4 awards.

Fine, if you want to nitpick...the 79th annual Academy Awards, honoring motion pictures which opened theatrically between 12:00am on January 1st to 11:59pm on December 31st, in the year 2006 AD.

Holy crap. I've seen exactly one of those movies, and it was Pirates of the Caribbean. I suck, no guesses.

Selections placed in bold. Those of you who haven't seen Pan's Labryinth definately should. I left the theater feeling pretty good about the film, but In hindsight it's pretty incredible. The little girl did a great job.

That reminds me that are bunch of movies I need to watch over the next few weeks (first time I've felt that in a while): Children of Men, The Queen, The Last King of Scotland, Notes on a Scandal. I'll probably end up only going to see two and waiting for the rest on DVD

PS - I have a crush on Helen Mirren (!) Penolope Cruz and Cate Blanchett. Just putting it out there...

I think Pan's Labyrinth is the best movie I've seen since maybe Oldboy. One of the best I've seen, period, which is why it saddens me that it cannot be nominated for best picture, being that it's foreign.

Here are *my* picks, not who I think is going to necessarily win. If I win, I want my avatar to be Steve Jobbs, punching you in the face TS!
