So, what is it with your family or circle of friends? How do you dress to stuff yourself?

I usually wear a pumpkin colored sweater with dark brown pants. Its silly but seems very appropriate.

OCBD, cashmere sweater, moleskins, some bluchers or loafers. Nothing too complicated.

what i'm thinking is....my dark brown cords, (hopefully soon to be) dark brown bluchers, olive green sweater, white button down, don't know which tie I'm going with because i've got quite a few in autumn/ fall colors.

The main thing is to shower and change right before dinner, so you don't smell like the turkey even before starting.

Usually odd trousers and a tweed jacket, sometimes a tie.

I'm new to this whole Thanks Giving thing and am going to the in-laws, so I plan to overdress a little - jeans, RMW Chelseas, turtle-neck jumper and herringbone sports coat. If it's super hot I may substitute a dress shirt for the jumper.

That is how I dress when going as a guest, but as the host this year, I figure I get to wear a sweater instead of a sportcoat, since I will be called on to carve the goose.

So far, it looks like the suit and tie is a rarity amongst Thanksgiving revelers. I am guessing a three-piece would get in the way of stuffing oneself.

Sweaters are the other favored option. I might go there, depending on how the central heating is interacting with the temperature gradient.

at my parents, I show up in Pajamas since I hate my extended family and they can go to hell.

at my extended families, I show up in track pants and a sweatshirt (see above). Unless there is a friend of my cousins coming I want to flirt with.

at anyone elses house, I am into sweater over buttondown and nice jeans.
