Is an Edible Arrangement tacky?
Usually they are my favorite when one gets delivered to the office.

Otherwise I was thinking about sending something from Jacques Torres or Payard.

Tacky.

Put one together on your own with goodies produced locally instead.

edible arrangements = groupings of food arranged to resemble floral arrangements are very tacky.

but fruit baskets, gift baskets etc aren't... nothing says thank-you so much like harry and david.

How sculpted fruit could be better than quality chocolate is beyond me.

I don't know if this is in response to me or not.

incredibly tacky. like you said, you're in Manhattan.

Just get a 6-pack of Red Velvet cupcakes, which is a bit played...but whatever. red velvet or cookies (that people write about in the paper) = pretty standard nowadays at least in my hood. If they like coffee, get them a pound of some grade-A stuff.

Oh I forgot about Dean & Deluca good call.

I may just have the PR intern figure it out and run it through on the company dime.

I'd rather get fruit than chocolate. Actually I'd rather get some macaroons than either.
