    Tweedy, those combos are, without exception, impeccable. Hard to pick a favourite, but I guess nos. 2, 5 and 7 are the stand-outs for me.

    I particularly notice the way you introduce a new colour to each palette via the pocket square, thus providing a subtle off-centre highlight.

    Also your shirt collars are always on point (as it were).

    Hopefully other contributors can match this standard, in which case this will undoubtedly become a reference thread for next-level element matching.

    Am I next? I'll post sometime this weekend unless @TweedyProf you'd like it posted sooner.

    @Coxsackie

    You're too kind. The others who will follow have set the bar for me, so I'm looking forward to it as much as you.

    @tchoy

    Do post S/S fits too, given the seasonal differences and lest my Australian colleagues (like Coxsackie) take me to be n-hemisphere-centric.

    @Claghorn if you're ready, go for it. I think if everyone posts about a day or two after the previous poster, that will keep things going. So tomorrow?

    It may take me a bit to put this together, if at all. I confess that I don't really do any file management with my fitpics, especially since SF started supporting uploads.

    Nonetheless, I am flattered by my inclusion.

    @sugarbutch

    I think the hard part is to narrow down to 10 ties.

    After that, just scrolling through your WAYWRN thread to pick five representative fits with those ties would be fairly easy.

    Sugarbutch won't remember this, but he was among the first to make helpful suggestions on one of my earliest posts. It was then I realized that SF could be a great resource, if you were willing to listen.

    Gunclub is amazing but I honestly like all the combinations.

    As someone who is slowly building a wardrobe, this is an informative thread. Thank you for starting it.

    Excellent thread. Fascinating, particularly from the perspective of someone who knows very little about CM dress. Moar!

    I'll post mine tonight. Took tie pictures this morning. I am less concerned with seasonality than some. Color is most important; if the color is right, for me, a linen tie can be F/W.

    In the interest of MOAR PICS, I will post the ties even though I don't yet have the pics of them in context with the jackets. I want to stress that these are my *seasonal* choices, not necessarily the ties I would recommend for a ten-tie wardrobe.

    [IMG]

    Knits: navy, brown, olive, dark orange, and black

    [IMG]

    Wool blends: Olive with red paisleys, plum, just lighter than navy, and green with just a hint of teal

    [IMG]

    Wool bows: Navy and mid-gray

    I agree completely about linen ties. I would include my own orange and tan linen ties for a fall/transitional wardrobe, but they are a bit bright to make the top ten.
