If by "starching" you mean "suntanning", then yes. I tanned it for a few hours until I read up on leather care and gave myself a fright. Now I tan it in the rays of the darkstar only.

Looks great!

The starch remark was only a joke, because you said you hadn't washed it. Friends?

I hope the darkstar is not related to the brownstar.

HAHAHA! At first I thought you were referring to the soft coral Pachyclavularia violacea of the family Tubiporidae, but then I surmised that you are suggesting that the dark star lacks sufficient mass to cause nuclear fusion; if that were the case, I would quickly retort with a joke about the size of Uranus, to suggest something biological in nature whilst superficially making an astronomical observation. In any case, I haven't dressed or otherwise cared for it since it has been in my possession. I've my eye on Pecard's Dressing, but I am utterly cut off. And I won't settle for anything else. A pickle.

DDML, I have a knock-off, and it does not seem to have carmelized that fast. I sun tanned it a few days, and have been neats foot oiling it too. What have you done? Also, I found mine turned quite blue from my jeans.

Thanks

I'm having the same experience. I think the blue-ness comes from the fact that I have the wallet in my pocket at work (construction) and I tend to sweat quite a bit.

The edges of my wallet are bright blue, but that's it. It would probably be more blue if not for the pocket lining of the hawaii back pockets.

Hewsi, I haven't done anything to or for the wallet, except some moderate tanning. All natural flavor; the previous owner neatsfooted it and tanned it for two hours or some such.

Can you blue-wallet types post same?

My j-fold, which started out dark red with blue trim, has picked up quite a bit of indigo; it looks good IMO.

The outside color is rich with many delightful deep earthy tones.
A close-up of the covered button would be the cherry. Kindly???

So it would seem like we can now see the difference between knock off and RM leather. As tanned my wallet, neats footed it, and used it non stop since May 12 (2.5 months).

Cheers,

***also, my inside has not change colours really at all, less the suntanning. The RMs may come darker to start, so it seems.
