Searched first but only came up with old threads that didn't really answer my question. I recently came across a navy Dior suit but I don't know anything about their suits other than they are slim cut. How's the construction/durability/etc. Any personal experience? Thanks!

I tried them on at Sak's Fifth Avenue.

I have gotten to say to that they SLIM, NICE QUALITY, and COSTLY!

Personally, their fit is pretty similar to Paul Smith suits, but I don't know if they have the same quality..........

No idea if they're well made, but are you sure you want Dior suit? It cuts like a pencil... (at least all the ones I have seen). I think people would prefer a stronger shoulder and chest so you look like a inverted triangle instead of rectangle. I.e. do you want slim suit as in it fits properly or you actually want to look like a straight line.

Old Hedi Slimane-era Dior Homme was made by Caruso, it is high quality.
Cut is fashion forward with skinny fit and lapel.

Dior mainline was made by Canali but not sure who is the maker now.

A bit off topic but I prefer Jil Sander than Dior Homme for the suit.

I purchased a Dior Homme suit a while back - I thought it was good quality consistent with most of the better suit makers/labels out there.

However, the fit sucked beyond belief and I returned that suit in a heartbeat. Needless to say, with the large number of genuinely good suit makers out there, I cannot find any logical reason for anyone to own a Dior suit unless for the very specific fit.

Expensive crap. Labels are so expensive.

wrong on both counts.

Dior is made for the incredibly skinny man. Often those happen to be Asian, but that wasn't the original intent. Hedi Slimane designed suits that fit himself: a very skinny guy.

So that's it: they're skinny suits for skinny guys. Wrong for 99% of people out there but look great on the right body.

I wouldn't say skinny. It's for slim body types. Narrow builds. Straight up and down.

He isn't skinny. Look at the neck.

Or look at his arms.

So basically a suit for ectomorphs--narrow shoulders, thin bone structure, little body fat and no chest.
