Telephone orders from the John Lobb factory

I'm almost certain that I read something here @ styleforum about how the factory shop no longer offer telephone orders if you are not "recommended" by the John Lobb shop on Jermyn Street? Thus it means that you can't by "subs" if you're not a regular customer in the shop on Jermyn Street? Unfortunately I can't find the thread, so can somebody elaborate on this?

(I'm aware that I can call the factory shop by myself and ask about this, but it's quite expensive from where I live)
