Do you get your whitening product from them as well? Which do you use?

I've had good luck with Crest white strips in the past, but would be reluctant to continue using them.

I use Colgate's Visible White with trays. Despite the fact that I drink about 5-6 cups of coffee every day, people have come up to me in bars to ask me how my teeth are so white. Accept no substitutes.

I did the rembrandt in office whitening a bit over two years ago. Initially, I was ticked off in the dentist's office since I thought my teeth actually looked TOO white when I first saw them. As it turns out, I was looking at the reflection of my teeth in a mirror under very bright white light at first. In ordinary light, it got closer to 2 to 3 shades whiter. Significant, but not a night day difference.

The white has faded slightly, but my teeth are still much whiter than prior to the procedure. You can expect the results to last for 3 years, perhaps longer.

Also, those trays are less expensive, but you have to use them every day for at least 2 to 3 weeks to get the same results you'd get in two hours with the light treatment.

You would need to use the Colgate's Visible White for just an hour or two a day, not overnight.

I use it (Opalescence 35% strength carbamide peroxide) once or twice per week for maybe 20-30 minutes.

I remember using the Crest's Whitestripes in the past, my teeth hurt a lot, I guess they were too sensitive.

I was drinking shitloads of Coke all the time, but since I stopped and never missing a brush my teeth have improved and whitened a lot. So the first step is pretty much dropping the caffeine.

My dentist charging a little over $500 to create the trays. They say the trays will last for a lifetime.
Anyone gone this route with the Opalescence treatment and felt it was worth the price.

I used bleaching trays with excellent results for the last 8-9 years.

Do you have to keep using them indefintely?

A word of caution: any teeth whitening procedure may end up with teeth becoming extremely sensitive to hot/cold/sour...basically, anything

If you use Sensidine (sp?) toothpaste it works like a charm.

For whitening I use the Crest strips. Not as good as a professional, but it worked.

If you want your teeth to stay bright white, you need to do touch-ups. How often depends on how white you want your terth to be and how well you maintain with general care.

Depending on how often you use them, they should last many years, but I think that saying they last a lifetime might be too much.

My previous dental place told me that the crest strips worked just as good as their dental trays. At least they were being honest!

My current place says that the crest strips work but theirs is "slightly" better.

It's all the same bleaching agents anyway, I don't see how one is better tha nthe other , other than the fact that the trays mightgive a bit better coverage. And if you don't have any real stains (i.e you don't drink much coffee/tea), you probably won't see much if any change.

Most people only get a shade or two.

I'm pretty sure it depends on how straight your teeth are. Crest strips probably work as good or almost as good if your teeth are perfectly straight, but if your lowers are a bit crooked I think they are less effective and they won't get in the cracks.

I've got professional bleach by Poladay for use at home. I don't need to use it that often; I brush with Crest Vivid White and get good results. I tried the OTC Rembrandt bleaching kit and it didn't really give good results.
