I’ve read mixed (mainly negative) reviews here regarding the quality (or lack thereof) of Ted Baker suits and jackets. What about their coats? I bought the “Mariano” overcoat in blue, the color looks fantastic and it fits great (shoulders are a little too structured for me, but still fine):

The sale price seems reasonable, but I’m honestly not good at evaluating clothing quality. It’s thinner than my 100% cashmere double breasted camel Burberry coat. It’s also a blend, mainly wool and only 10% cashmere, but I think the reduced price accounts for all of that? Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Around this price you can find a lot of similarly priced wool/cashmere coats SuSu, S&M etc ( would take a look there instead). Personally I wouldn't pay this much for a Ted Baker coat, since I wouldn't trust the quality of their garments, not to mention I find the cut of the coat not appealing.

In any case I would suspect it's lower grade wool.

Look at Charles Tyrwhitt, right now they have 90/10 blends (at least they tell you where the fabric is woven so you have some reference to the quality and knowing it's not some cheap wool product made in China).
