I'll help you out a bit. We carry Taylor Supply in the shop and of the stuff we've got, the line is very clean, well made & straight to the point. A few pieces were cut for this season but the "workshirts" are pretty exceptional. Personal highlight: Sun-faded red chambray BD shirt. Simply beautiful shirt. Word to the wise, TS shirts do happen to be a bit longer than normal. We put a few up in our webstore.

I picked up a white with navy polka dot "rebel" shirt the other day. The shirt definitely fits true-to-size, and I agree that it does run a little long. Ignoring material, I'd say the fit is fairly comparable to a Gitman Vintage oxford, but a little longer. The details are amazing though.

I tried on the Olive "Machinist" shirt at the Stag store in Austin last weekend - the medium fit me like a charm (38L/40 suit), was of exceptionally high quality, and looked so good my girlfriend's jaw dropped when I walked out of the dressing room. Couldn't afford the $180 pricetag on my pay though; something to watch for on eBay I suppose. That would be this shirt: http://bit.ly/fseQT1

I usually wear a medium in gitman vintage, and got a couple shirts in a small from a stockist recommendation. My suit size is usually 40", true chest size is 39". 5'7", 145lbs.

The grey speckled traveler shirt is made from fabric that is pretty heavy (similar to the japanese nep dungaree shirts from W+H, but heavier) so I returned it cause it'd be too heavy to wear during the summer months. The polka dot rebel shirt is pretty awesome, as well as the sun faded red shirt.

I believe the TS shirts in small translate pretty well to GV mediums pretty well. If anybody is interested in fit pics, I can post a couple.

"^your GF should have bought it for you! " lol. My girlfriend would have gotten super mad if I would have asked.

Their website is up now with some interesting items.

Been mulling over a hill climber for a while, but hung up on the price and loose fit in the chest...

the field vest is awesome. I may have to suck it up and buy...not sure the brand will be around much longer though...they've scaled back and i can't see them selling a lot of $700 cotton jackets. If I'm paying that much I want wool.

edit: Sorry, $600 jackets. But it's still a lot.

I agree that retail is too high. Same issue I have with hamilton 1883 or levis vintage... I'm just never dying to pay $250 for a shirt that is basically a slimmed-down version of a classic style.
Don't get me wrong, I like what they're doing but I can't ball out like that.
Their markup is probably pretty high though, so they could do okay even if they don't sell through.

If anybody sees any sales of F/W 11 shirts, let me know!
I'd really like another grappler shirt.
