Target Sweaters

Just picked up one of these:

They are pretty thin 100% merino wool, which is fine for me. The fit is very nice however, they are shorter and slimmer than my BR ones, which I like.

Anyways, not bad for the price.

I picked up some socks there when I was in a pinch. They are still going strong. Gold Toe.
I have a few Target home items. I fully endorse their mission to raising the aesthetic / design consciousness in American retail.

I've been on a sweater purchasing hiatus for a couple years now, hoping that I can eventually justify spending more on higher quality and better fitting sweaters. I have two main concerns with cheaper wool sweaters. #1 is fit, which is obviously tested on my own, but #2 is pilling. I find that cheap sweaters pill very quickly after a few wears and soon look so bad I just have to get rid of them.

How do the Target sweaters hold up? I know 25 bucks is not a huge investment, but according to my theory, thats 25 LESS I can justify spending on a nicer sweater. I like the fit and quality of Jil Sander, but they are still a bit too much for my price range. I have one so far that I bought NWT at a considerable discount from a forum member.

I will keep you posted on how they hold up. I also got a cheap acrylic rugby sweater that I plan on wearing almost every day. Everything I have gotten from Target has held up just fine so far, though I just started wearing wool this season for the first time since 5th grade.

That is why I shop at Target instead of somewhere like Walmart. The "designer" lines that Walmart released to compete with Target apparently didn't sell at all. *sigh*

Where are they made? I noticed some of them in the past were made in the UK, maybe Australia. If you keep an eye on them they'll be marked down later on.

Even better.... China. I didn't see that color in the store, but they seemed to be popular. I will see how they hold up.
