has anyone had experience with BOTH tanner and corter belts? which one would you recommend in terms of quality. based on price alone, they're pretty similar and it's hard to tell from pictures which one is nicer. thanks for your input!

I've only got a Tanner belt, but I have had both a Tanner and Corter wallet and the Corter stuff is leagues better. I definitely think you'll get a better belt from Corter, and I think it's even slightly cheaper. I'd also request a leather stay from him, if I were you.

The main differences I noticed were on the finishing, and the quality of the leather that Corter uses.

Atelier La Durance. (Unless one's been recently added, there's two models, a full grain one that comes in a natural color and a saddle one that comes in several colors)

I can't speak to the rest but my girlfriend loves her Tanner belt.

Well, if you want to get into other brands, I'd say that the "Simple" belt in the natural color by 45RPM is leagues better than any of those suggested, and that the Nice Collective "Roller buckle" belt in "khaki" is more distinctive and interesting than the analogous Tanner belt.

if i purchase a belt from corter and requested a size 30.5, what does this 30.5 mean? 30.5 inches from the leather (measured from the belt buckle end) to the fourth of six holes? or third of six holes? or third of five holes? thanks.

Sorry, chub. The biggest they make is a 75. A few weeks of light dieting ought to seal the deal.
