I was shopping yesterday and noticed something called Tana Self Shine Cream. It states that it is a "no buff shine" cream that you just apply, let dry and and you get a shine on your shoes -- all with no buffing.

Anyone use this? I'm old school -- thanks to the military -- in how I shine my shoes but if this stuff is easy and actually works I wouldn't mind trying it.

I'd stay away from it. There are other "no-buff" polishes out there too; Kiwi has one, if I'm not mistaken. These products likely produce no benefits to the leather, in the way of moisturizing and nourishing it, and wouldn't, I imagine, produce a really deep shine the way a really good polishing does. In addition, there is the chance that they may actually cause some damage to the outer surface of the leather, although I have proof of this.

Don't you ever look down during the day at the gleam on your shoes and feel pride in how your hard work and perserverence paid off? What will you do now?

The military broke that out of me with the constant cleaning and shining. For you it may be pride, for me it reminds me of shining them and five minutes later tramping through swamps

That said, I'd rather stick with the old way of doing it if this cream doesn't really do what it purports.

Stay far away from it.

If it's anything like the other self-shine creams I've looked at, it's properties stem from being pumped with more synthetic materials and chemicals than Courtney Love.
