Tan Trench with a Dark Suit?

I generally find myself wearing dark suits to the office. Most often, some shade of gray or a really dark navy. I have a nice tan trench, but it usually stays in the closet. The tan looks sharp with the navy, but I'm not sold on how it looks over gray. So, what do you say, tan with gray or stick with another coat?

A coat is a coat. The tan Trench is a classic in its own right. I consider matching a coat to a suit to be a little like matching your car's paint job to your suits.

It looks fine. Overcoats exist for practical purposes so don't worry so much about how the colours go together. But a tan trench coat goes with everything.

Tan is the only color of trench coat I'd ever wear. I currently have four of them, and all are tan.

Yep, that is THE color. Black and blue don't look right and darker colors have traditionally been considered lower class (according to John T. Malloy who I read out of college and has influenced me good or bad for 20 years LOL)
