I am literally at my wits end. I have the WORST TIME finding clothes that fit me (6'4" 170 lbs). I have spent way too much money on jeans that are too baggy or too short, casual shirts whose sleeves don't even make my wrists after a wash or whose neck holes are enormous, etc.

I am DONE. I would gladly pay someone to help me. I will PAY one of you who is also 6'4 or above, and thin, to help me find stuff that fits and looks good. PM me if you are interested. Failing that, what kind of local service would I contact to meet with me and help me out? Remember, barely any stores carry my sizes in stock, so a personal shopper would be pointless. I'm talking 36 length jeans, and medium-tall shirts.

Please help!!!

Diors and Imperials have a rather long inseam (36 and 37 inches, respectively) if I remember correctly. Additionally, you might want to check out some of the Japanese denim such as Samurai - they've got very long inseams as well.

Filippa K has a 36" inseam.. but how does raw look on you?

I had a really skinny guy in the store (maybe 6'1 or 6'2), and the only thing he looked good on him were the Earnest Sewn Hutch - they have a 34" inseam.

The raw and one wash was too stiff and didn't flatter him to well. The Earnest Sewn's are already washed, and super soft, so they conformed really nicely to his skinny figure.

I suggest you order some try some shirts from various brands on yoox.com. Start with Jil Sander, I have one of hers where the sleeves were ridiculously long. I don't think the return policy is terribly punitive.

Those are some good suggestions for jeans, obviously Diors are meant to be stacked, but they would probably look good on you.

I'm 6'6'', so I'm in the same boat. First, try gaining some weight. I've gone from 185 to like 210 or so now and that helps a lot.
The advice so far is good. APC's have a 36" inseam which works well. H&M dress shirts in XL fit me well. Their sweaters are good too.

I am trying to gain weight. It is slow progress. I wouldn't expect to gain more than 20 lbs this year, at which point MAYBE medium-talls will look good.

I guarantee you that no XL top will fit me. If I found an XL top that fit me, I would buy a plane ticket to your city, take you out to dinner, and then kiss your feet. You weigh 40 pounds more than I do. If I weighed 210, I am sure XLs off the rack would fit me too.

I will try some of the stores you guys listed, but I am not hopeful. I am looking for casual tops. The closest I have found is some of the banana republic medium talls, but they are too long in the torso and look stupid, and aren't quite long enough in the arm, especially after washing. But they are passable.

Oliver makes a nice slim button down that runs on the longer side. Top button to the bottom of the shirt is 30.5" on a Small and the sleeve is 27" from shoulder to end of sleeve. Oliver also makes cool polos, again running on the longer slimmer side.

What are your measurements?
Bottom of neck to upper hip (where you would want your shirt to fall to)?
Sleeve length?
Chest size?

My brother has the same problem. He is a super skinny dude, 6' 2.5" and weighs 135. He has some Oliver shirts from our store and they fit him really well.

For shirts I'd suggest going custom. Jantzen tailor will make a shirt to your measurements and specs for $40, but it takes forever and is mildly sketchy. Brooks Brothers does them online. Most big-name department stores will either have a custom shirt department or be able to point you in the direction of someone who can make them for you.

Ande whall are the jeans for you. Inseams up to ridiculously long.

What's your waist size? I'm selling two pairs of jeans with extra long inseams, a pair of Dior Homme 19cm Black Raws in size 30, and a pair of Marc Jacobs Natural Indigo jeans in 46/30. The Dior's inseam is 37.5" and the MJ is 38".

If you need any help with finding other stuff, I can probably help out. I'm not quite as tall as you, but I do find myself often with a similar problem, at least when it comes to jeans.

I can relate. Im 6'8", 200 pounds, size 16 shoe.

Im living in a few pairs of 34x36 Levi 501 jeans (which I love), which are also avalible in 38 length. I tried on a pair of Imperial Denim jeans that fit long on myself and a pair of 501xx, as far as raw denim.

My basic look at this point is jeans, a polo or button down shirt, a wool sweater and either a blazer, suede coat or peacoat as weather permits.

I buy regular, off the shelf tall shirts. Reasonable quality is hard to find but a 16 neck and a 36/37 sleeve usually fits me (although the shirts are not fasionably slim, im satisfied).

I am limited in my selection of clothing but, I like classic and timeless style.

I've got a pair of Moschinos that I need to get hemmed. They're 32 waist and and least 36 inseam. I've had on a pair of Moschinos that were 34 and just as long inseam, so you might have some luck with them. Kind of expensive unless you can get them on sale though. Ben Sherman makes slim fit large shirts, that work for me and I'm 6'1", I imagine a slim fit XL might do the trick for you.

Depending on your body type you might not get much out of gaining weight, my brother put on 15 kilos of muscle and didn't have to get new pants...
