Yes, if you work there in any capacity you have to be active on social media and you have to write for public consumption. It's their main marketing angle and they've done well out of it. RIA is a stodgy, hidebound business, for a lot of the more established players the big channels are still seminars and ******* radio.

My loan is the original subsidized manufacturer financing - that's the only way to get 0%. Chase is the lender/servicer.

Note that's 200k savings, not 200k a year! As the article states, and I've been saying, Spain is very attractive. Access to the entire EU, good healthcare, so much to see, eat, and drink. Just our combined SS and her pension = living well in Spain.

They also didn't mention either Galicia or Rioja as a place to live. Logrono, la Rioja, has my eye. It's close to San Sebastian, Bilbao, etc. and way less expensive. Also, famous calles of pinxchos.

i've been to sitges. nice but quite small. did he retire with family joining him there?

Yes. His son speaks good Catalan by now but the local schools are quite insular, for the obvious reasons, so he goes to an international school in Barcelona. Husband and wife run a digital marketing agency together, catering to mid-size Spanish companies that want an English web presence. They seem very happy. I like to visit to drink the blue gin and tonics in glasses the size of your head, and the food is amazing.
