Sure doesn't look like it--not obvious where you could have added anything (although that was my first thought as well).

Was built in 2008, so there's a limit to how much updating it could have needed as well. We're not talking something like taking a 100 year old house, finishing an attic space as a master suite, converting to open plan, etc.

419,000 / 176/sf ~ 2380 sf

1.1 mil / 462/sf ~ 2380 sf

To be fair, I am not sure I would trust zillow to be reporting that accurately in this situation. They could easily just divide historical price by current sf.

This is not an upgrade!

Down with open floor plans!

I don't even care for the layout that much... the desire for an open plan around the kitchen leads to this very awkward looking TV/fireplace/sofa setup:

I'd be willing to tolerate it given the house has a lot of space and some other very cool features, but it really doesn't feel like a $1.1m house to me (and its not sitting on very much land either....0.13 acres, almost all of which is house/driveway). More like $800k would at least seem reasonable, especially considering the generic-grade GE appliances and not particularly luxe finishes.
