Only six trading days into 2022 and we're half way to a correction, the Fed signaling four rate hikes...we'll be doing DCA for her 457 and 401(k) this year vs. speed funding it like last year.

Nice bounce back today. Despite Uncle Warren's advice I seldom have the courage to buy when everybody else is fearful, but did add a bit more exposure to the financial sector this morning, as well as move around some of the tech pieces. All eyes seem to be on what could go wrong, but there are also things that could go right. Supply-chain improvements might peel back inflation some. The economic impact of Omicron should diminish. Even if the Fed hikes rates mortgages will remain historically cheap so housing (and furniture, appliances, materials, household goods, etc.) should remain strong. Congress could surprise with a big, albeit pared back, BBB bill.

A wise man once observed the world doesn't end very often. At some point declines such as we've experienced at the start of 2022 will mark the start of a prolonged bear market. Not this time, IMO.

Those of you who are ineligible for Roth IRAs - are you backdooring every year? (or waiting for xxx to accrue and then doing it all at once?
