As someone who doesn't lose capital, I'd prefer to cap capital gains at $3k. I understand how some of our tendies-focused traders might care about that those.

I'd prefer it at least feels balanced. If CGT is unlimited then the write off needs to be. When we sold our vacant lot right after the meltdown/Great Recession we lost 10k. Having to write that off over years sucked.

Also wild that everyone is ******** on Archegos/Tiger Asia but no one is talking about the banks that allowed them to basically 10x leverage. Banks are not responsible for their own credit risk now?
