I bought a car in December that based on asking price comps, has appreciated by $35-40k since then. This **** can’t be real

You bought a Porsche GT car where the market hasn't made sense in a long time...

Only if we raise the money to fund them through a SPAC.
Good idea. Use the spac to buy a collection, hang it in our homes for a decade, have some appraiser with questionable morals inflate the value every year to collect our performance fee, and dumb them after 10 years on the market. Investors will probably get burned, but who knows?

Hey...I haven't checked recently, but a few months ago there were dealers listing my same spec/color GTI for more than I paid for it in April 2019 (and with thousands/tens of thousands more miles).

Maybe only 5-10% more than I paid for it new...but a LOT more above what its mileage/depreciation value should have been in February 2020

I feel like the stonksers are sleeping on commodities as an avenue for wilding out.
