So glad I am compliance restricted from trading any single stocks until July. This **** is exhausting.

Talking to some of the former PE bros and they are rubbing their hands. The more disorderly the public markets get, the better the well-you-have-to-deal-with-these-assholes-but-at-least-they-are-predictable-assholes option looks.

I think a lot of those posts are fiction but maybe I'm jaded.

My kid mentioned Gamestop to me a couple weeks ago. He bought at $13 and was kicking himself for getting out at 30something and then watched it rise to $45

Me: I didn't even know you played the market

Da Kid: "When I was little you taught me how to read the stock pages and how to track stocks. I didn't really pay attention back then but I remembered. I'm just mad I dumped and my friends stayed in"

_____________

Fast Forward to today

Me: "Did you get back in at $45 the other day?"

Da Kid "No. Mad people boosting it up. I don't even want to talk about it anymore. Discussed it enough with the homies"

I felt bad for the lil fukker

Damn, having no cash to trade as it wasn't yet "settled" cost me on that stonk. I was trying to buy in at .70.

Bro, call your broker like an alpha.

I've only done it a couple of times (and in my ira at that), but they can make the funds available immediately.

They give you some warning about not doing it very often or you have to be considered a day trader, but there's no reason they shouldn't let you do it now.

Only because I just made 25% overnight and that transaction won't settle until tomorrow. How much did you make in the market in the last 24 hours?

I'm sorry, how much of it was put into your account again?

I don't think I have ever seen so much faux concern of retailer investors "getting hurt badly" because they don't understand the market.

Surely they aren't restricting outright buying. Assume this is a limitation on use of margin for investing in these stocks. If so, I'd say it was a good move, since if the margin is collateralized by the underlying stock, and the underlying stock has a fundamental value of close to zero, I probably wouldn't want to be lending money secured by these stocks either.

I am rather upset I didn't know about the GME thing earlier, probably would have thrown money at it. I know a few incels; they should have told me.

It's nice you keep in touch with @Neo_Version 7
