Isn't this all part of risk assumed in speculation especially with an unclassified investment (alternative investment)? I guess this can be considered liquidity risk. All this to make a quick buck when energy could've been spent on more productive means towards overall 'wealth'. Understandably the latter is easier said than done.
Going to take a bath on my REITs as we get a new house and I transition those to International holdings. I've hated this asset class and felt it was better than having rental property. Both sucked and 5-figures out the door on this...

Avg down using margin. That’s the true baller move.Only an idiot harvests losses. You need to average down instead. That's the pro move.
