I have an analyst buddy who does a lot of research in the food industry for a bank. He tries not to invest in the food industry as he says it's shit but the last time we drank together he said he was piling up losses in other sectors. He is a great drinking buddy but a shitty stock picker. He is down like 20% this year.

I think people often look too hard at the companies or industries that they work in and do not see the outside view which can often be more positive.

I've been day trading LOCO since the IPO, not like I've become a millionaire from it, but I've accumulated 12 free shares from my efforts.

It's still pretty volatile but I don't think we'll be seeing anymore 7-10% pops anymore.

Does anyone have a thesis for JCP? I'm itching to pick up one more long term holding. Actually debating dumping JPM. Financials hasn't been as hot as I'd hoped it'd be this year. Maybe the last four months will be different.

Love that. That's a huge psychological boundary.

Took a bite of EPZM at market close @ 34.70. That seems like the bottom end of the recent move. I'll buy on the way down if it keeps dipping. Hopefully it pops again tomorrow and I get a few more free shares.

The agency 5% can only be to the traditional tsp. I specified my own contributions to be to the Roth tsp, hence 50/50 split. You can further specify the allocation and % contribution amongst the different funds.

VRNG took a dump and now it has had 2 nice days. Seems that insiders bought shares to make it seem like they have confidence...though the positions were rather small.

SPWR bounced off 200 day about a week ago. It's my play on the solar theme. Anyone else have any views/or interest in solar?

A page or so back, SCTY. Waiting for a new entry point below 70.

    ____________

Day traded PCYC today -caught it at the bottom and did well off the bounce.

Started trading EPZM again, bought at 34.70 and then 34.08 as it kept sinking. Will triple down tomorrow if it shows weakness. I really liked that recent move, it should test 40 again soon. For whoever doesn't trade it, this puppy is capable of some heavy moves so tighten your belly if you buy in and don't be afraid to buy on the way down. I've made some solid coin trading this stock.

My CMG is already green, great news. I bought GS, and TPH has been an excellent buy so far, up 6% in 3 days.

I have bought EVER twice so far and love the story. When is the last time you actually walked into your bank? All those branches? All that overhead? Online only bank, well executed so far.

Traded out of PBR too early and missed a solid 2 day move.

My nibble on the SYF IPO has come good... up 6% this week.

LOCO is tanking. Holding my breath on this one. Don't want to triple down but might have to.

BDSI has been fantastic. Up 10% even during the recent correction. I wish I bought a lot more. I have a lot of faith in this one.

ZTS has done great, too. Up 6% in a month.

I've had to go into my bank more than I'd like to share because they won't do things over the phone or online. Here is a list of things I couldn't do myself though it seems like I should be able to do:

    1. Add someone to an account
    2. Transfer all the money out of an account and close it
    3. Sign-up to see my mortgage online
    4. Open a savings account

Then you go in and some poor soul tries to sell you a credit card or some other banking service. I don't need your investment service or a personal banker to call me about bullshit. Then they try to act friendly when I had to come in multiple times because the first time didn't correct the issue.
